Charity partners 2024:

Werkheim Uster

For the first time, mentally disabled people are starting from the Werkheim Uster at the Greifensee race. For this purpose, a runner group is created with the goal of developing more physical fitness and self-confidence. We live inclusion; Residents, staff and external parties run for a good cause and motivate each other to do their best. Thank you for your support for our sports fund. With this money, we expand our range of sports to offer participation in lager competitions. More Informations

Theodora Foundation

Since 1993, the Theodora Foundation has been pursuing the goal of brightening the everyday lives of children in hospitals and specialised institutions with joy and laughter. Every year, the Foundation’s artists – the Dream Doctors – bring laughter and moments of happiness to thousands of children throughout Switzerland. The dream doctors are specially trained and work in consultation with the nursing staff. Further information: www.theodora.ch

Stiftung Joël Kinderspitex

When a child is ill or impaired, the whole family suffers. Children who need special care present parents, siblings and relatives with major physical and psychological challenges. It can be compared to running a never-ending marathon. The care provided by Kinderspitex at home improves the quality of life of the children concerned and at the same time supports and relieves the entire family environment. The Joël Kinderspitex Foundation provides care with expertise, quality and heart – quickly and without complications.

Unfortunately, many urgently needed respite services are neither financed by health insurance companies nor by the IV. Therefore, the children cared for by Kinderspitex and their families are dependent on your financial support – this is how we run together for these children who cannot do it themselves. You can find more information about the valuable work of Joël Kinderspitex at www.joel-kinderspitex.ch.

SOLVA – RUNNERS for FREEDOM

We work with local partners at home and abroad to protect those at risk from human trafficking, free victims and give them a hopeful future. Let’s run together to bring light and new hope into the lives of many victims of human trafficking – and achieve lasting change. Thank you very much!

DEBRA Switzerland

DEBRA Switzerland has been supporting people affected by the rare and currently incurable skin disease EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) since 1998. The skin of those affected is as fragile as a butterfly’s wings, which is why they are also called butterfly children. By participating in your run, you help improve the everyday quality of life of those affected and support research for medical progress – thank you very much!

Support association for children with rare diseases KMSK

Did you know that around 350,000 children and young people in Switzerland are affected by a rare disease? This poses major challenges for the families concerned: parents who are at the end of their tether, siblings who are neglected, financial worries, and often isolation and battles with insurance companies. In order to confidently support these families on their new path in life after a diagnosis of a rare disease, Manuela Stier founded the non-profit Support Association for Children with Rare Diseases (KMSK) in 2014.

Thanks to donations, we have been able to provide around CHF 3.9 million in financial support to affected families since our foundation in 2014, for example for therapies, aids, breaks, leisure mobility (special bikes), etc. In order to continue doing this in the future, we are dependent on donations, legacies, patronage contributions and donations in kind.

We sincerely thank you for your valued donation, which can have a lasting impact. More information www.kmsk.ch

EnableMe

You can prepare for major events in life, such as the Greifensee Run, but you cannot prepare for a disability or chronic illness. Everything can change from one moment to the next. EnableMe supports, connects and empowers people with disabilities, chronic illnesses and their families – here in Switzerland and worldwide. On our inclusive online portal, those affected can find guidance, exchange ideas and receive concrete assistance to (re)gain a foothold in life. Through open exchange, mutual encouragement and practical information, we have been promoting self-determination and inclusion for people with disabilities and those on the neurodivergent spectrum since 2004. By participating as an EnableMe Charity Runner, you are helping to maintain these free services – for greater participation, courage and perspective.

Your contribution for the young runners and the role models of tomorrow!

The Swiss Athletics junior five-figure ticket helps talented young runners to better integrate their training into their everyday lives and to pursue their path towards the top international level. The promotion of young talent is important to the Swiss Women’s Race, which is why we are integrating the Young Talent Five-Franc Card into our registration and giving you the opportunity to support young runners. For you it is 5 francs, for the athletes it makes a lot more possible and makes a big difference.
Thank you very much for your support. www.swiss-running.ch/de/nachwuchs-fuenfliber/
